Rate Increase: Effective January 1, 2016

The Beaver Falls Municipal Authority Board of Directors, at their regular board meeting on December 17, 2015, voted to raise the water rates by 7% to cover the emergency repairs expended for the restoration of the Eastvale Dam (at the authority's intake and treatment plant) and the Townsend Dam in New Brighton (at the authority's hydroelectric plant) and to fund the future required capital improvements. The new residential rates (for 5/8" meter) will be $58.30 per quarter minimum and the usage rate per 1,000 gallons will be $4.39. The increase represents an increase to the average residential user of 11,000 gallons per quarter of $7.17 per quarter or $2.39 per month. This rate increase will go into effect for all Authority bills issued after January 1, 2016.
